This product is made from 1214 free-machining carbon steel, supplied in the hardness range of 230–350 HB with tensile strength around 370–480 MPa.
- High machinability (rating 158%) for high-volume turning and drilling
- Suitable for case hardening; not recommended for induction or flame hardening
- DO NOT weld or galvanise; use alternative grades if welding or zinc coating is required.
