Protect Against Corrosion: Chrome plating offers good rust resistance, but the base steel is not stainless. For outdoor or wet environments, lightly oil the surface and protect any exposed cut ends.

Choose the Right Grade: 1045 chrome bar suits most general-purpose applications, while 4140 is better for higher loads and impact resistance.

Cut and Machine Safely: The hardened chrome surface requires suitable tools and PPE when cutting or machining. Deburr cut ends to remove sharp edges. If you don’t have the right equipment, we can cut and prepare your bars accurately and safely.
