Edcon’s Steel & Metal Website Search Function: How to search thousands of products in seconds

Search our product range through the search bar

Step 1: Tell us what you’re looking for

Simply type in the products you are looking for in the search bar at the top of the home page. You can be as broad or as specific as you like. For example, if you type in “flat bar,” the search results will show every flat bar product in our range. This is a great option for customers looking to browse our products and unsure exactly what product they are after.

Alternatively, you can include these details in the initial search if you are after a specific product or length. For example, if you type in “stainless steel flat bar 100 x 20 6m”, the search results will bring up the flat bar products that meet that criteria.

Step 2: Browse the search results

The search results will appear as shown, with the list of products that meet your search criteria and their corresponding stock codes, descriptions, grades, shapes, dimensions, standard size and type of metal.

You can either scan through the products and click through the pages or refine your search further. To refine your search further, simply add more details to the description in the search bar, such as the type of metal, length, or grade.

Step 3: Increase the number of results shown

If you are browsing products and want to see more search results on each page, simply click the arrow to the left of the search bar and select either 10, 50 or 100 entries.

Step 4: Find a different product

This is a great option if you want to see what kinds of products and product categories Edcon Steel has on offer. Simply click on PRODUCTS in the top left corner of the home page and see our list of product categories.

When you find what you are looking for, simply click on the product. This will take you to the search results page, which lists all products in that category.

This search page will only search for products in that specific category. If you are ready to find a different product, click on PRODUCTS again or the red “SEARCH ALL PRODUCTS” button.
