When we heard about this handmade kaleidoscope built by Steve Matheson and his son Brendan, we knew we had to share it with the wider Edcon Steel community.

George, a chef, was keen to plant a kitchen garden and make the most of his free time with his DIY garden bed cover.

Adam, a runner-up in our stainless steel project competition, used his ingenuity and skill (and Edcon Steel products) to create a custom drill bit prototype that proved a genius hack for the production line of a large food manufacturer.

Using Edcon’s stainless steel products, Callum, runner-up in our stainless steel project competition, constructed a wave energy converter for his clean energy start-up business, Plithos Renewables.

Martin Roberts, with his incredible motorised servery window, has won Edcon Steel’s stainless steel project competition.

Congratulations to the winner of our Christmas project competition Bossweld prize pack, Jake Wright. A hobby machinist, Jake built an amazing model hit-and-miss engine using Edcon Steel products.

Originally created for an exhibition, Alison and Dan’s hand-crafted cutlery using brass flat bar were so beautiful they became part of the Ferro Forma product range.
