Our Edcon Steel Revesby store supplies local metal fabrication and engineering businesses with all their steel and metal needs. But what many don’t know is that it is also the hub for our online orders.

To meet the demands of our online steel store, we have expanded our Revesby location so that we can carry more product lines and add even more cutting equipment.

A hub for online orders

The Edcon Steel Revesby store has been an essential steel supply centre in the area for over 20 years, with the largest variety of products and more processing equipment than any other Edcon location.

The team at Revesby is responsible for handling all website orders that are not collected or delivered directly from one of the other sites (i.e. courier, interstate freight, and posting orders). This means, in addition to the needs of our local customers, we also need the products and equipment to meet the demands of online product orders and custom-cutting requests

Expanding our facilities

With the growth of our online store, our Revesby location has been at capacity for some time. Thankfully, the adjoining warehouse became available and has allowed us to expand our facilities by an additional 800m2. Fortunately our existing crane rails matched those inside the new space allowing us to remove the dividing wall to create one large warehouse with full crane coverage.

The most immediate benefit of warehouse expansion is the increase in storage capacity for our huge range of products. As our online customer base grows, so do our inventory needs. An expanded warehouse allows for more products to be stored, reducing the risk of stockouts and enabling us to fulfil our online orders more efficiently.

The additional space has also allowed us to expand our cutting equipment with the introduction of another Everising bandsaw, allowing us to increase our custom cutting capabilities.

We use Australia Post for orders up to 22kg and 1000mm; for larger deliveries, we use freight services. Please note that tracking is only available through certain freight companies, so if tracking is essential, please talk to a customer service representative before ordering.

And remember, when ordering for delivery interstate, it is advantageous to have any steel pieces cut as short as possible, as length surcharges may apply.
